You canceled your guest’s reservation, but things have changed and you’re able to host them now. Or, they canceled their reservation but want to restore it.
Canceled reservations can’t be reversed or restored, but you can contact the guest and have them book a new reservation.
If you canceled your guest’s reservation
Keep in mind that your guest may have already booked a new place to stay or may not be interested in booking your place again.
You can message them and ask if they’d like to rebook and if they agree to your booking factors (ex: nightly price and cancellation policy). After reaching an agreement, you can send them a special offer with the specific agreed booking details. Your guest has 24 hours to accept the special offer, and once they do, their reservation will be automatically confirmed.
To help you get the booking, you can always send the special offer with a discounted price to make up for the disruption that the cancellation may have caused.
If your guest canceled their reservation
If your guest canceled their reservation but has expressed that they’d like to restore it, they can book a new reservation if your place is still available.
They can book your place as normal, or you can send them a special offer with the booking details that you and your guest have agreed on. They have 24 hours to accept the special offer, and once they do, their reservation will be automatically confirmed.
Offering your guest a refund for their original cancellation
If your guest didn’t receive a full refund because of your cancellation policy and how close to check-in they canceled, you can always send them a special offer with a discounted price to make up for what they’ve already paid.
