Si të lëvizësh gjatë Lojërave Olimpike dhe Paralimpike të Parisit 2024

The Paris region will welcome millions of visitors during the Olympic Games Paris 2024 (from July 26 to August 11) and the Paralympic Games Paris 2024 (from August 28 to September 8). Competitions will be hosted at iconic sites in the heart of the city and beyond.

As a consequence, Paris Police will impose security perimeters around event venues. These will make getting around Paris tougher than usual. Please review the information below to better plan for your stay.

Security perimeters

Impact on transportation

Transportation during the Olympic & Paralympic Games will be challenging, so please refer to the official government transportation website and the "List of people authorized to circulate around competition sites" to plan your itineraries.

  • I plan to walk, bike around: Pedestrians and cyclists are allowed to circulate without any restrictions in security perimeters except during the Opening Ceremony. Please refer to our section below to understand how Opening Ceremony security measures will impact access to your listing.
  • I plan to move around by public transport: The Transport Ministry has developed an interactive map to help you plan your itineraries in public transport during the Games.
  • I plan to move around by car: You will be impacted by restrictions if you are driving in zones designated as a “red” or “blue” zone. Red zones are most restrictive, with only authorized vehicles being able to access these zones. You can request an exemption to access red zones for your vehicle on the Police Prefecture website.
  • I plan to take a taxi / Uber to my listing: The same restrictions that apply to cars also apply to Ubers and taxis. If you are traveling in a red zone by taxi or Uber, you can request access to red zones in advance on the Police Prefecture website.

How to download your proof of stay

You will need to provide proof of stay for your Airbnb listing when you register with the Paris police in order to access a red zone by car. Please follow these steps to obtain your official proof of stay:

  1. Navigate to the Trips section of your Airbnb account
  2. Click or tap on your upcoming reservation in Paris
  3. Scroll down and select Get a PDF for visa purposes or Get a proof of stay for Paris Olympics (you may see one or the other based on your listing location)
  4. Add the legal full names of all travelers
  5. Click or tap Download PDF

The names you provide must match a government ID. This information will be checked in person by the Paris police, matched to a government ID, and may be shared with the French government.
